I like to read, especially literature and fiction.  I also enjoy surfing the Web for interesting facts, factoids, and information. 

Each year, my husband and I look forward to about 6 weeks in central Mexico in the city of Guanajuato.  We study Spanish and enjoy every minute of our time there. 

In Florida, I enjoy friends, the ocean, yoga and our overgrown old Florida landscape.  Seeing shrubs pruned like cupcakes hurts my eyes and my brain.  Crepe myrtles pruned in the manner known as "crepe murder" also makes me feel for the plant.  I also enjoy accompanying my husband on trips in his (and his partner's) Grumman Tiger 4-seater, single-engine airplane. 

One of the great pleasures of my life (and my husband's too) was early retirement.  I cannot recommend it strongly enough.  You will enjoy it so much that to make it happen, I recommend that you ask yourself each time you're thinking of buying something, large or small, costly or not, "Will I still enjoy this in retirement?  Is this worth another day of work?"  And, if the answer is yes, you are truly lucky to be engaged in work that is very satisfying and fulfilling to you.  Congratulations.  If the answer is "No," then forego it and envision yourself retired a day, a week, a month, even a year earlier.  And, always, always, always live below your means.
